George Pullicino confirms Leo Brincat allegations about new climate change report

In a promptly issued Ministry reaction to a statement issued by PL Main Climate Change Spokesperson Leo Brincat, Minister George Pullicino confirmed Leo Brincat's claims that the climate adaptation report which had to be concluded by March this year has not only not yet been published but in the Ministry's own words the report was still nearing its conclusion.

The excuse that the Ministry brought up was that such a technical report drawn up by technical people from different sectors in a voluntary manner could take somewhat longer than expected to be concluded.

The Ministry failed to commit itself to two important dates: when the report will be published, as well as when it will be discussed in Parliament.

The Ministry failed to comment about the PL's call for the Ministry to introduce a benchmarking mechanism for the agreed measures as well as for their implementation to be monitored.
